This is Gabe after we got home from the royals game Fri!
Ben said it looks like he was hit with a foul ball! He was miserable!
We took Gabe to the eye Dr. yesterday to see if there was a reason for his pain. The night before we went in he showed signs of a cold in his eyes. He woke up with matter in his right eye. I decided to take him in anyway and as it turns out he is slightly near sighted (though not enough to need glasses). She said she could see behind the eye and also the optic nerve and there wasn't any swelling, infection, or obstruction(tumor!) that would be causing the pain. Huge relief!! So she said it could be that he has an infection in one of his sinus cavities that sometimes doesn't have typical sinus infection symptoms such as stuffy nose. Which I'm thinking now that it could have been an infection growing back in his sinus cavity and just now weeks later coming out with all the cold symptoms he's having. She recommended that we see his Dr. if it doesn't clear up after this cold. So the plan now is to wait out this cold for a few days and see if the pain doesn't subside. If it doesn't we'll be off to the Dr.'s office. Thanks for praying!

ooo! poor kiddo!
strange...Alexis has had the same thing only in both her eyes. We put her on some allergy meds temporarily and it's worked so far.
Yeah Christie, Gabe's is in both of his eyes as well, it just flared up in his right eye this night and that's when I got the pic. He's been pretty miserable with it. But I do have to say that since the cold symptoms started coming out the intense 'behind the eye' pain hasn't come back!!
